Happy Feet!!!

This movie tells about a penguin who does not behave like a penguin. Penguins are supposed to know how to sing their heart song in order to attract their mate but this little penguin cannot sing at all! What it can do is to tap its feet in a beautiful rythem. Therefore, this little penguin is being outcast by his peers and what's more his father felt ashame of his behaviour. But this little penguin met some friends and to his surprise, his strange behaviour as deemed by his very tribe is being much appreciated in another! There he gained his confidence and eventually win his tribe and found his true love with his Happy Feet!

I think that everyone is unique in his very own way. Come to think of it, if everyone is the same, it will be so boring. Each character and personality has its flaw and its beauty. A character can present itself badly in one situation but it will shine in another. The movie is telling us the very one thing that all of us should know! Be yourself, love yourself and be proud of who you are! Only then you can really feel the appreciation and love by others as well! Happy feet is contagious, let it spread. :)

Who would not like to fast forward those boring chapters of your life. But in this show, it comes with a side effects. We have to learn to slow down and treasure the things that you have. A nice show to catch.

The Lakehouse

It's a nice romance movie where some form of time travelling is involved. There are a few scene where they will make you laugh out loud. The movie makes ppl feel warm and happy. Nevertheless, do not try to find any logic as in the time travel aspect of the movie as you will not find it.

Pirates of Caribbean 2

I have watched this show last Thursday. A nice movie, funny and engaging. But if you have not watched the first part of the movie, you may find yourself lost in some parts this movie. The movie is 2.5 hours long but you don't find it draggy or too long for it.

The main character, Jack Sparrow, is funny. He is one kind of man who will always try to talk himself out of situation. Ha this quote "Why fight when you can negotiate" sums it up. Lol, apart from that he is also showing us the typical ren2 bu4 wei4 ji3 tian1 zhu1 di4 mei4 personality. Well, we can find this persona in every human being but his is really an exaggerated form. He made use of all kind of opportunities and loopholes, just to turn things into his favour. He kabra quite a bit, thinking that he can turn the situation around, the opportunist instead find himself in a newer and more dangerous position. His plan backfires quite a lot lol.




Near the last scene, Jack Sparrow was betrayed by his "crush" as by doing that she can save herself as well as the crews of the black pearl ship. His last words to her, "I have told you, one day, you will become like me. A pirate." Well, I think everyone of us has this pirate syndrome. People are always selfish and greedy in one way or another. You just have to be in the correct situation, this pirate behaviour will just show up. I guess this is our natural defence machanism that has been given to us right from birth. In short, it is just our survival instinct. Life is full of intrigue and in order to survive in the society, you will have to be part of it. It will become more obvious when you are beginning your climb up the social ladder.

Another week is over!

How time flies! In about half a month's time I will be working in my current company for 2 years. When I first started out, I have told myself to work in there for 2 years at least and see how things go from there. Well, it is about time to set another career milestone.

Though it is only a 2 short years, I feel that I have changed quite a bit, in terms of life, outlook, etc. For better or for worse, I shan't comment as different people have different judging criteria. I am quite fortunate to have a nice manager who is always looking out for me (though I have been looking out for him also lol).

Everyday, I am multitasking. Simulataneously looking after different things at the same time. This is how I have acquired and accumulated different skills and experiences. I must say I am quite a all rounder person in the production floor. Good in my own area of work and can handle other ppl workscope without too much of a problem. Of course there are still more to learn. Things are just getting exciting as 2 important projects are materializing and I have learnt alot from there. I think I have picked up and also self learnt (no choice cos very often I am thrown a problem that I have never done before and no other ppl in the company has done before either. Heng I am pretty good in self learning) a lot of technical skills and people skills where I can carry them forward to my next career step.

Our managing director had a meeting just now with us. He told us that his vision is to reduce the manpower from current 79 to 55 while doubling the production output!!! To me it is not important if I am the 55 or the 29. What I can see is that there are even more things for me to learn. At our current load, we cannot further reduce manpower without damaging our production. So in order to achieve that, a lot of adjustment and technological improvement has to be made. It would mean I will be exposed to more technologies and different reduction techniques and processes. Haha, I must say I am a very optimistic person lol.

Tired Shoes

A lot of time I wonder if it is a gift or bane to be able to understand ppl needs and thoughts easily. I admit it is a real satisfaction if I am able to put smiles on ppl by giving them a helping hand and I always cannot resist to help anyone in need. I am always able to put myself into the other person's shoes and in some situations I have to wear so many pairs of them at the same time, trying to find the most positive situation that I can put all these shoes nicely in. But sometimes after putting all these shoes nicely in, then I realise there is no place to put my own pair of shoes. Actually that is not lose situation as at least what I have done has benefitted most of the ppl. It is really demoralising when your help has failed and the blame gets shifted all to you. Then all of the sudden, you have become the owner of the problem when what you have just done is to help. Sometimes I wonder why can't anyone stand in my shoes for once when I am always looking from other's perspective. Hmm, probably my shoes are not noticeable.

I have really tried and tried very hard... It is really tiring...
